An outdoor ceremony was among the many safe tactics in attempting to navigate planning or hosting a wedding during the Covid-19 global pandemic of 2020. One of which Kevin and Nicole took full advantage of with the help of the team at Magnolia Venue & Urban Garden, downtown Kansas City. Magnolia may have been one of my favorite wedding venues to shoot at during 2020 because of the lengths they went to accommodate both new and existing couples. From creating downsized elopement options, offering an outdoor ceremony space, implementing new safety protocols, taking guest and vendor temperatures, spreading out dinner tables, creating safe guest flow from ceremony to cocktail to reception spaces, and more. Everyone could easily feel safe when celebrating at Magnolia. But to make things even more over the top, bride Nicole tie-dyed masks as wedding favors for all her guests, vendors, and bridal party members!
All Covid stuff aside, Kevin and Nicole's wedding day was spectacular. Planning a wedding from afar is never easy but this couple honestly nailed it. From the getting ready Airbnb to creating their own bouquets, to their own signature cocktails, personalized wedding cake topper, DIY favors, personalized ceremony moments, and ultimate vintage car this day was so full of both their personalities and style. When I asked Kevin and Nicole what the 3 most important things they wanted to remember from their wedding day would be they said, their first look at each other on the day. That first kiss and feeling as husband and wife and just the overall fun vibe even during this stressful time. As you scroll through this blog you'll see their fun and heartwarming first look, dramatic first kiss, and the overall fun vibe we most certainly achieved. Cheers to Kevin and Nicole, can't wait for all that lies ahead for you two!
