A Sunrise Adventure Engagement Session, in St. Louis

Yep, you read that correct this is not the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach nor the Basalt Columns of Iceland. It's an incredible location right here in good ole Missouri! I love couples like David and Rachel who are willing to take a chance on a vision from a creative like me. Because being honest, not every couple would be super hype when their photographer says "okay, so let's shoot at a pile of rocks".

The morning I spent with these two was literal magic. We arrived just as the sun was starting to come up over the horizon. We were the only people for miles and could hear nothing but nature as it started to awake from a good summers night sleep. We climbed the top of this simple yet gorgeous rock pile to pop some champagne for breakfast. Our time together was monumental and so deserving of a celebration because this was the FIRST time we were all meeting in person! (Side note, being located in Kansas City does not deter me from still being besties with my clients located all over the state.) More magic happened as the sun continued to rise; we saw hot air balloons, watched the moon fade into the daylight, listened to music, and laughed so hard it hurt.

Our next stop was beautiful Forest Park located right in the middle of St. Louis. Travis, David, and Rachels four-legged fur baby joined us for a romp around the park. Inspired by the beautiful architecture of Forest Park we enjoyed the quietness of the Saturday morning as others in the park participated in a group tai chi class. Lastly, we stopped at the CUTEST coffee, breakfast, and plant store on the planet, Cafe Osage! David and Rachel treated me to a latte and breakfast as we discussed their fall 2020 wedding plans at the Wild Carrot in St. Louis, Missouri. This couple is one of a kind and I'm SO EXCITED to be not just their photographer but now their friend. September cannot come soon enough so I can see these two again!
