The Abbott in the heart of the Crossroads District of Kansas City was the perfect location for Andrew and Sidney's stunning, voguish modern black-tie summer wedding. The event featured modern stylings, an extravagant dessert bar, personalized details, a DIY taco bar dinner, and a lively dance floor.
The aesthetic was a bold black and white color pallet with accents of gold, white roses, and baby's breath, creating a modern and elegant atmosphere. I was able to highlight the timeless and classic yet modern feel of the wedding through a mix of candid and posed photography, and it's honestly one of my favorite galleries to date! This wedding is giving moody, bold, modern, timeless vibes that I love deep down to my photography core. And can we just take a moment for Sidney's look?! The gloves. The thigh-high slit. The veil. Sidney was the epitome of a classic bride with a trendy, vogue-inspired, and modern twist!
The personalized touches throughout the wedding day, like the couple's personalized newspaper, signature drinks, and rotary telephone guest book, added to the event making it a truly unique and memorable experience for all. The DIY taco bar dinner provided a fun and interactive dining experience for guests. Followed by one of the most beautiful and delectable dessert displays I've ever photographed. A stunning macaroon tower, immaculate bite-sized cupcakes, a variety of gourmet dessert bars, cake pops, and even mini donuts! I promise these reception details will not only inspire you but they will make your mouth water!
After an intimate family and friends-filled candle-lit ceremony at The Abbott, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while my newlyweds enjoyed some time just for the two of them and no camera!! YES, NO CAMERA! Andrew and Sidney prioritized making time for just the two of them to enjoy a private meal and time to soak in all that had just taken place. After the reception formalities, we snuck out to The Abbott rooftop for sunset portraits before dancing the night away.
The dance floor was a wild and energetic scene, with guests letting loose and celebrating the happy couple throughout the night. But one of my favorite moments of the night was the couple's quiet private last dance. Andrew and Sidney swayed together in a sweet and tender embrace, under the gorgeous crystal chandelier, and in front of their huge illuminated alpha-lights that spelled out their new last name. Watching these two soak up the last few minutes of their best day before their grand sparkler exit, was truly an honor.

I love that I was able to authentically capture Andrew and Sidney's wedding day by highlighting their modern aesthetic and how it seamlessly blended with timeless elements for an overall inspiring and stunning representation of their love.
