Did you know your complimentary engagement session can be a destination session!? Heck Yes, Friend! I LOVE to travel and the opportunity to celebrate you while traveling gets me so excited. Blake and Michelle took me up on the offer to turn their engagement session into a destination engagement session. So we packed our bags and booked our flights to a sentimental location for them, Chicago!
When planning their session, we decided to plan around a few dates I would already be in the area to waive any additional travel fees. We decided on three very different and distinct locations for their session along with three outfits. We started our session at the historic campus of The University of Chicago, Hyde Park. The architecture of the buildings and structures on campus made for the perfect formal backdrop to kick off our time together. Our second stop was the stunning Garfield Conservatory, a sprawling local botanical garden, and greenhouse. This location offered so much variety for their engagement photos both inside the greenhouse and outside the surrounding property. Lastly, the couple enjoyed martinis along the Chicago Riverwalk while watching the city buzz around them.
We truly made a full afternoon of their destination engagement session, utilizing such unique locations which made for one-of-a-kind photos for the couple. My heart for sharing this blog is to encourage all my couples to consider the location of their engagement photos. Documenting this monumental time in your relationship doesn't have to be ordinary, basic, or just pretty. It can be completely original and unique to you and your partner's story, even if that means it's outside of Kansas City.
