Recently my husband asked me what the ROI was on my blogs and ultimately, if they were worth my time. WOW. I hadn't ever considered these questions, I just knew it was a wedding industry standard thing to do. So I took some time to pour into this question and here is what I came up with: While I love to recap or highlight a wedding day through this sharing medium, I know these blogs don't do the days themselves justice! As a wedding photographer with over 7 years of wedding experience, I couldn't begin to put into words all the moments and emotions I get to witness on a wedding day. But I still believe these blogs are wildly valuable to current and inquiring clients. For current clients, seeing your wedding day highlighted on your photographer's website has to make you feel some type of way. Seeing what images they're drawn to share and how they write about your day, will give you some feels. For inquiring clients, seeing even a glimpse into a wedding day through my camera lens can create confidence and help you better decide if I would be a good fit for your wedding day. So I will continue to pour out my heart and share highlighted wedding days as part of my client experience, starting with The Rowlands!
Lauren and Jeremy planned an elegant and editorial wedding day, full of many unique and memorable moments. The day began with the couple getting ready at the beautiful Hotel Kansas City. Lauren shared first looks with her bridesmaids, the groomsmen, her father, and finally her groom, Jeremy. The couple shared their breathtaking first look at the rooftop terrace of the Hotel Kansas City. Jeremy's reaction to seeing his bride Lauren was priceless, you'll have to check it out for yourself!
We then ventured to The Nelson Atkins Art Museum and The Kauffman Center for wedding party portraits. The wedding party's energy was so infectious and they looked stunning in black tuxes and emerald-green dresses. Once all portraits were complete it was time for their outdoor garden ceremony at The Guild. Lauren and Jeremy's ceremony was simply stunning, with a unique unity canvas painting that had everyone in tears.
Later into the evening Jeremy and Lauren shared their first dance under the large crystal chandelier followed by an outfit change by Lauren! The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away, creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
The Rowland wedding was the perfect blend of timeless and classic with a touch of elegant and modern elements, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Capturing moments like these is why I love wedding photography - being able to freeze those special moments in time and create memories that will be cherished forever.
