A Tropical Rooftop Wedding with Ocean Views at Secrets Moxché in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

There's always something special about a rooftop wedding. The views, the light, and the feeling of being on top of the world all come together. But this rooftop wedding ceremony takes the cake with its nonstop views of the ocean blue and tropical vibes. Steven and Katie's romantic destination wedding at Secrets Moxché in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, showed us just how special a rooftop wedding can be.

I'm one week back from my second international wedding trip, and I thought what better time to reflect on my time in Mexico with this incredible couple than now. From their rehearsal dinner to their dance floor, this wedding is one of my favorites of 2024.

Steven and Katie intentionally chose to have their ceremony above the beach, with minimal decor to emphasize the natural beauty the space at Secretes Moxché offered. The ocean was calm, and the sky was clear and beautifully diffused for their vows and time with their closest friends and family. The couple chose to have a first look at the property, and we completed all their wedding party photos before the ceremony, giving them time to enjoy some of their cocktail hour and sneak out for private beachside photos. The golden white sand and blue ocean made a stunning backdrop. Palm trees swayed, birds flew between us, and it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. Steven and Katie laughed and embraced, showing a love that was classic, timeless, romantic, and modern. The candid moments are undoubtedly my favorite, as you can feel the genuineness of their day.

The reception was a feast for the Mediterranean senses. Guests enjoyed delicious food while the sunset painted the sky. As night fell, the dance floor lit up with a one-of-a-kind LED light-up floor. Everyone joined in, moving to the beat of the music, the joy and vibes were infectious. This wedding was full of life and laughter. It opened my eyes to the world of international destination weddings, and with the ocean as their witness, Steven and Katie began their new chapter together. Every moment was captured, ensuring these memories will be cherished forever.
